Nature speaks in its forms

The intelligence of life, which is evident in nature, awakens to itself in man and confronts him. For example in the shape of a landscape, a tree, a blossom, a fruit or a mushroom.

The discovery of the self-evident

Three things have remained from paradise: the stars of the night, the flowers of the day and the eyes of the children.
Dante Alighieri.

The intelligence of life, which is evident in nature, awakens to itself in man and confronts him. For example in the shape of a landscape, a tree, a blossom, a fruit or a mushroom. In the drawing process, the draughtsman explores the self-understandable, the openly visible. Through the attentive observation that is necessary when drawing, he reaches the unfathomable vastness of the near, inherent in every visible form.

Drawing and marveling, he enters the figure – as if into a chapel that is also a laboratory of perception. There, through the exploratory observation of the form, the doors open to the universal forces that have formed it. The question arises from the amazement: what intelligence is at work here?

Such a contemplation of the universal creation can inspire the human spirit. Provided it is receptive and learns to look all the way to the bottom, to the origin – to the sphere where an ordered cosmos emerges from fertile chaos, in which the Logos reveals itself. “If you want to recognize the invisible, you must delve deeper and deeper into the visible”, says the Kabbalah.

Into flowers, for example.

“Three things have remained from paradise: the stars of the night, the flowers of the day and the eyes of the children”, said Dante Alighieri.

Planetary movements are inscribed in flowers. Venus and Earth draw a five-pointed star in cosmic space as they orbit the sun.[1] The five-pointed star, the pentagram, contains the proportions of the golden ratio, which can be found in all rose petals and also in the human body – and thus in the basis for our perception. It forms a free, playful and at the same time exact resonance field of coherence and correspondence.

When we look at a flowering meadow, we are also looking at a reflection of the starry sky. Flowers are filigree vessels of almost unearthly perfection. Flowers are the fruits of light. There is no rubbish heap, no ruin is too unsuitable for the flowering plants not to open their coloured calyxes to the light and thus give hope even to the deserts. Nothing cute kitschy, but a powerful, delicate, intelligent manifestation that covers the entire earth. A harmony of opposites that complement each other in a variety of shapes and colors, harbor healing powers and nourish and delight just by looking at them. And what is real joy other than necessary manna in the desert – food for the gods?
