Beinsa Douno – He Who Brings the Good in the World – Part 1

And God said, 'This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.' (Genesis 9:12-13)

Beinsa Douno – He Who Brings the Good in the World – Part 1

It is almost December of the year 2021 when this article is being written. A suitable moment to pay a tribute to a great figure in the spiritual history of mankind: Beinsa Douno. Beinsa Douno was born under the name Peter Deunov on the 11th of July 1864. He lived and worked in Bulgaria, except for the seven years he spent as a student in the United States. He left our world on the 27th of December 1944. Seventy-seven years have passed since then.

Bulgaria is a country with very old spiritual traditions [1]. Several impulses of the Gnosis have left their traces in these lands. During the ancient Thracian Empire, the mythical singer and musician Orpheus had a strong influence on Thracian spirituality. In ancient art forms we see Orpheus depicted while he played on his lyre with seven strings. When he sang and played on his instrument, he shared the richness of the heavenly symphonies with all his fellow beings. The lyre with the seven strings has a deep symbolical meaning.

In our material world impulses of the Gnosis have their beginning and their end. Also, the law of the Light says that where the Light once has shone, it will return there! From the 9th until the 12th century, a new gnostic movement, led by the Bogomils, arose in Bulgaria and spread over the Balkans. The name ‘Bogomil’ means ‘loved by or dear to God’. The Bogomils lived according to the laws of inner Christianity in which purity had an important place. Like Jesus the Christ himself, people who bring Light in a dark world always form an obstacle for the leading authorities. They are loved by God but hated by the worldly influencers. Hence, the movement of the Bogomils ended in a river a blood when tens of thousands of them were killed in the Bulgarian region called Strandzha.

But then another cosmic law was activated; it was the karmic law of cause and effect. For killing the pure and innocent, a high price had to be paid. In Biblical terms: “if anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold”. And seven dark ages followed for Bulgaria, full of oppression and limitation. Although it is an immense tragedy from a human perspective, the hard laws of karma have their virtue. In the end they wash the blood of our hands; they teach us to respect and love all forms of life.

In Strandzha, in a village called ‘White water’, there is a little chapel dedicated to the memory of the Bogomils. This chapel is tightly surrounded by seven oak trees. According to clairvoyant perception, these ‘seven oak trees of the Lord’ bear testimony to the seven leaders of the Bogomil movement. The ages have transformed the river of blood into white water. Because no matter how dark the night has been, there always comes a moment when a new dawn rises. This new and mighty sunrise came in the form of a spiritual teacher called Beinsa Douno: he who brings the Good in the world.

There is more than a mere geographical connection between the movement of the Bogomils and Beinsa Douno. It is interesting that Catharose de Petri called him ‘the leader of the Bogomils’. In the context of this article, I would like to focus on the spiritual connection which exists between all true teachers of mankind and the goals they pursue. All spiritual teachers have an ultimate goal to bring Good in the world and to all human beings. The meaning of this “Good” is not the same as the normal meaning of the word “good”, which has as its opposite “bad” or “evil.” The extent to which this goal can be realized depends more on the pupils than on the master.

What, then, is the meaning of this “Good” that has to be brought into the world? Bringing the Good into the world is, in essence, the same as bringing the Truth into the world. Seen from a gnostic point of view, everything which is unchangeable and eternal is the Truth. Having said this, we can understand why Jan van Rijckenborgh wrote the following:

“The Truth is a sevenfold radiation, emanating from the absolute, which will and must reveal itself to progress the one great purpose of creation and bring it to its completion.”[2]

“The divine Sun, of which we spoke, emits seven kinds of rays into this lost and fallen world. These rays form a full spectrum of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.”[3]

“This radiation field of Christ, which has appeared among us and does not leave this dark world order alone, has, as is evident, a great influence, indeed a whole series of influences.”[4]

Now we know something about the Good or the Truth. But how is it going to be brought into our world? In 1912 Beinsa Douno spent two months in the village of Arbanassi. There, he wrote a booklet entitled, “The Testament of the Color Rays”. The English version is available on the internet via this link: http://petardanov.info/Knigi/en/Zavet_2013_eng-final-260713.pdf

To clarify the intention of this spiritual tool for his pupils, he wrote:

“I want to create a powerful wave of the seven colors guided by Christ who is close to the physical plane (…) this year. All these verses were taken under His direction, so every time you use them, God will support you. All these verses are His words and when you begin to use them, you will attain power, but first you must purify yourselves.”[5]

It seems to me that this is a clear attempt to bring the Truth into this world. “The Testament of the Color Rays” is an aid to this purpose. It combines and orders texts of the Old and New Testament according to their color and vibration and connects them with the seven rays of the Spirit. The spiritual qualities and virtues are classified by the colors. Red = Love; Pink = Life; Orange = Sanctity; Yellow = Wisdom; Green = Growth; Blue = Truth; Violet = Power; Amethyst = Grace; and (diamond) White = Fullness and Perfection. Of this booklet, Beinsa Douno said:

“The Testament of the Color Rays of Light is the pure Word of God delivered, spoken and experienced for thousands of years. These are verses from the Holy Bible, systematically selected and arranged, so that at attentive and reverent reading, they produce all those colors which are needed for spiritual development and advancement in the Way of the Lord. “I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life” (John 14:6).”

“Everyone in the world can choose to experience the karmic law, but as to you, I would like you to be free and live by the law of Christ. The Eternal Spirit implies immortality which we all strive for.”

In the second part of this article, let’s find out if we can discover a bit more about this sevenfold mystery of eternal Life.
