Two Minds – or is it Three?

Two Minds – or is it Three?

Now is the time, in this world of today, that our third mind is very much needed to be recognised, accepted and to become a very fruitful aspect of our reality.

We are perhaps all conscious of having two minds at times. How often do we say, or hear others say “I have two minds about that” or “I am uncertain/ unsure/ unconvinced ….” ? At those times it appears that there are two minds in operation – the one we are consciously using in the here and now, and another that questions, opposes or disagrees, or offers a better option. Another perspective whether positive or negative. A perspective that we may choose to follow, consider or just plain ignore. Either way, there are two minds in operation, both operating simultaneously. We commonly know them as our conscious mind and our subconscious. The first related and dedicated to the here and now reality, the second usually related to past circumstances, cares and worries, and to “what if”s – to the future. We carry them to a certain degree unknowingly all our lives. We enhance them, educate them or we endanger them, damage them in multifarious ways. But every now and then, and we all experience this, there is another mind that creeps in, often unasked for, perhaps warning us, perhaps beckoning us to take a step further. It comes in many ways. It is perhaps an impression that might come from nowhere, a sudden idea, a memory. It has a sense of disconnection to it, as if it doesn’t belong to the here and now, to the future or to the past. We might perhaps relate to it as coming from the “un”conscious, or the “super”conscious. Or as insight. It is almost as if it doesn’t belong to us and yet it has been there all along, like a third mind. A third mind guiding us, directing us, ensuring our safety. An influence which can penetrate our two minds, yet originate from somewhere else. That concept is well understood on a spiritual path – a divine influence, not from earthly realms yet very much involved with them. An original divine concept or reality interpenetrating another. A possibility that always accompanies yet is not an integral part of that which it influences.

That same possibility we all carry within us also. The possibility of being open to that same spiritual source. Allowing it to enter into our own inner being. Opening ourselves to its influence.

Now is the time, in this world of today, that our third mind is very much needed to be recognised, accepted and to become a very fruitful aspect of our reality.

May we be able to let it happen!
