A Dream for the Future

A Dream for the Future

What is beyond that end door?

There is a house, a long house with a central doorway and another door at one end. There are a lot of people in that house, some residing within it, others coming and going. The majority of the people enter and leave through the central door but some, not so very many, use the door at the end of the house. The central door gives access and connects with life in the world, everyday life – jobs, families, general activity. The door at the end, the less-used door, connects with a different reality, a reality of a spiritual nature that is only known to a few.

And now a warning resounds within the house – don’t close the end door, the door at the end. Leave it open day and night to allow access to the house at all times. Up until then both doors had been open all day and only the early part of each night and then closed until morning. The occupants wonder – why does the end door need to remain open? To where does it lead? And why have we never used that door? The central door after all is far more accessible, far easier to use in our everyday life. But the question remains now – what is beyond that end door? The residents begin to wonder, they begin to muse, their curiosity rises. Some venture to the door but very few pass through – much easier to stay connected with everyday reality, too much of a challenge to contemplate a different reality, let alone enter it.

Over a longer or shorter period of time the conditions within the house change – more people enter, more begin to reside within its walls. Tensions arise from overcrowding, perspectives change. Many become disillusioned, disappointed, resentful. The curiosity for what is beyond the end door increases. More people start to approach that door, begin to leave and enter through that door, discovering and choosing a new reality for their lives. The balance between old and new shifts, they start to awaken.

There are many such houses on this planet, in all countries and under all circumstances, undergoing that same transitional process. We each live in such a house, both individually and collectively.
By undergoing that shift in consciousness from the old reality to the new, we can influence the consciousness around us, we can determine the future.
